How to set up your Furbulous Box

Instructional Video

Your Furbulous Box arrives almost fully assembled and ready for use. Get started by following these steps below.

Step 1: Place the Furbulous Box in the same location as your old litter box during the transition period.

Step 2: Make sure that the unit is placed on a firm, level surface to avoid any wobbling or instability. Soft, uneven, or unstable flooring should be avoided, and the unit should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to direct sunlight.

Step 3: Position the unit near a power outlet, making sure it is not pushed against a wall or into a corner, and is not touching any walls.

Step 4: Place the litter mats or rugs in front of or completely under the unit. It is important to avoid placing the litter mat partially under the unit, and to use only low pile (≤0.5 inches) rugs or mats.

Step 5: Put the deodorant bar into the deodorant box inside the globe.

Step 6: Fill the globe with clean clumping cat litter up to the max line. Do not use non-clumping litter.

Step 7: Finally, plug in the Furbulous Box and the globe will automatically reset the globe's position for you.

FAQs

How much space does the litter box offer?

This cat litter box provides a spacious internal use area of 60L, ensuring ample room for your cat's optimal comfort. The 245 x 210mm entrance is particularly welcoming to larger cats, making it an ideal choice for multi-cat households.

How does the machine handle cleaning after my cat uses it?

The machine is designed to include the entire process: automatic litter cleaning, automated packing, and automatic sealing and refilling. This ensures a hassle-free experience for both you and your feline companion.

Does Furbulous Box require special litter and trash bags?

It is compatible with any clumping litter. We recommend high-quality clumping litter, such as tofu litter and clay litter. As for trash bags, only use Auto-Packing Trash Bag to ensure the packing function of the FURBULOUS BOX.

Does it have a weight limit? How many cats can use it?

Furbulous Box is ideal for cats heavier than 3 lbs. and older than 6 months. There is no fixed number of cats per unit. We recommend having one Furbulous Box for every 2-3 cats. We do not recommend that kittens or cats that weigh less than 3 lbs. use the Furbulous Box in the auto-cleaning mode. Their low weight and tiny size may not activate the lifeguard system.

Will Furbulous Box clean watery stools?

Yes, it will. If your cat's stool is liquid-like, set the waiting time via App to a longer period until the stool solidifies.

Can it differentiate between cats in a multi-cat household?

Yes, the weight sensors of Furbulous Box distinguish cats according to their weights, but if your cats are very close in weight, the unit might not be able to tell the difference.

What happens if my cat tries to enter the globe while rotating?

Furbulous Box is equipped with a Lifeguard System to ensure your cat's safety. The Lifeguard System will detect your cat approaching or entering the box. For safety considerations, the unit will pause when your cat approaches, enters the globe, or jumps on the box.

How often do I need to pack the trash?

If there are two cats in the house, you must pack the trash bag at least once in 7 days. You can empty the waste drawer after auto-packing. You can pack the trash anytime anywhere via the app, or press the button on the control panel.

How often do I have to add litter?

It depends on how much cat litter is used. Please make sure to check the globe regularly. Always add new litter to the MAX line and reset the Furbulous Box to ensure the accuracy of weight detection.

How much litter do I put in the Furbulous Box?

Fill the Globe with approximately 5.5 pounds of litter, until it meets the MAX Line on the Litter Bed.

How often do I have to clean the inside of the Globe?

This depends on your personal preference and your cat's behavior. We recommend wiping the inside of the Globe every 2 weeks and cleaning the whole unit every 1 month. CAUTION: The Base of the Furbulous Box contains electrical components that should not be submerged.

Will the electric components hurt my cat?

Furbulous Box is safe with 12 Volts DC using an adapter very similar to the ones you may have at home for devices like a clock radio or for charging your cell phone. It is completely safe for your cats.

Troubleshooting

E1 Error

Unplug the device and reinstall the globe. Make sure it's perfectly installed.

E2 Error

E2 Error means: Auto-packing function is stuck or does not work properly.

You need to check the following options:

1. Remove any pieces of bag or litter stuck under the trash bag box.
2. If there's too much used cat litter blocking the sensors, manually remove some from the trash bag and reset the device.                                  3. If the trash bag is dragged too long in the trash bin, cut the extra bag and make a knot at the end.

If the problem still persists after doing a solution, please reach out to us again with the mcu version, mac address, error code image, and the serial number of the issue.

E3 Error

E3 Error means the lid located on the upper side of the trash bag is not closed properly.

You need to follow these steps:

1. Check if there’s too much used cat litter in the trash bag, if so, take out some manually and restart the device and see if the malfunction still exists;
2. Make sure to put in the Trash Bag Box in the right direction with the “TOP” mark facing upwards;
3. Check if the magnet under the lid is correctly installed. Probably it is not. Please check if the magnet is inside the Trash Box. If so, try to install it again.
4.Please unplug it for 1 minute (wait till the screen shuts down) and replug it .

If the problem still persists after doing a solution, please reach out to us again with the mcu version, mac address, error code image, and the serial number of the issue.

E4 Error

E4 Error means the lid located on the upper side of the trash bag box is not lifted properly.

1. Remove any big pieces of clump on the lid.
2. Move the lid left and right to see if any litter or bag pieces are stuck in the gap between the lid and the box. Remove anything you find.

If the problem still persists after doing a solution, please reach out to us with the MCU version, mac address, error code image, and the serial number of the issue.

E7 Error

Remove the globe and clean the litter/dust on the bottom. Reinstall the globe and reset the device.

Level the waste

Open the lid and level the waste (either use a shovel or pull out the waste bin (drawer) a couple of centimeters and shake the drawer) to eliminate "peaks", then repack.

Stuck at "Cat Around"

1. Remove any obstacles blocking the sensor in front of the device.
2. Clean the proximity sensor mirror.
3. Lift the upper cover 10 cm for 3 seconds and put it down to reset the weight of the device. (Make sure your cat isn't inside/on the device when you do it.) Or just unplug the device for 1 minute and plug it in again to restart the device. (Make sure your cat isn't inside/on the device when you do it.)

Stuck at ”occupied”

1. Make sure that the device is sitting on a flat place and the weight sensors aren't on the litter mat.
2. Make sure that you reset the device when you add new litter or when anything else causes a weight change.

Not show “occupied” when cat enters

1. Make sure that the device is sitting on a flat place and the weight sensors aren't on the litter mat.
2. Cat must stay inside the globe for at least 7 seconds and weight must be more than 1.5kg. (That's the condition for effective usage)
3. Reset the device (using the reset button) or restart the device by unplugging for one minute, then plugging the device in again. (Make sure your cat isn't inside/on the device when you do it.)

Not auto clean when cat finished their busyness

1. Check if the 'auto-clean" mode is on.
2. Check if the weight sensors/IR sensors are defective or not. (Put a subject heavier than 1.5kg inside the globe, then block the IR sensors on both sides of the globe with paper or your hand. Stay there for 15 seconds. If it shows "occupied", the sensors are fine. If it doesn't show anything (screen continues showing "F" ), the sensors might be defective. Contact customer service in either scenario.
3. Note: To ensure cat safety, your box will only autoclean after it has been unoccupied for 2 minutes. So, for example, if one cat uses the box, then another cat uses it immediately afterwards, autoclean will only begin - and run one time only - 2 minutes after the last occupation.

Litter dumped everywhere

1. Always close the door before emptying unwanted litter.
2. Ensure that the pailing panel is installed to prevent your cat from scratching litter out onto the litter mat while burying their poop.

Leaking urine

Ensure that the liner is installed correctly.

Clean litter wasted in the trash bag

Only use litter with a length less than 12mm. Otherwise the filter will take them as clumps to filter out.

Show "trash full" when it's not full

Ensure that the bag is not blocking the sensors. If it is, stretch the bag a little to make it work.

Can't share my device to my family/friend

Make sure the other accounts that you are sharing to are registered in the same region. For instance: if you live in the US, but the account that you are sharing is registered in Singapore, then you can't share your device to this account.

APP can't connect to Wifi

1. Make sure that your wifi is 2.4 GZ only.
2. Make sure that your wifi is stable.
3. Make sure that the bluetooth on your phone is on, and it is "allowed" for Furbulous APP to use your precise location.
4. Use a second phone's hotspot as wifi to bind your device with. (keep your original wifi off while phone hotspot is on).
